Plans Changed Regarding Seth Rollins’ World Title Open Challenge On RAW, Johnny Gargano Was Not Original Opponent
WWE made changes to last night’s RAW, originally having Rollins defend his World Heavyweight Championship.
However, during the champions entrance, Finn Balor would viciously attack Rollins, following up backstage after the attack also.
Originally, this was not the plan. Fightful Select reports that there was a change of plans, but Johnny Gargano was not the originally scheduled opponent for Rollins despite rumors suggesting he was.
Seth Rollins’ open challenge was changed from what it originally was supposed to be, but it wasn’t supposed to be Johnny Gargano as many fans had hoped. Though Gargano wasn’t on the show, we’re told he was backstage at WWE Raw throughout the day. The Rollins opening segment changed from some of the original plans.

Rollins is currently set to face Bron Breakker on tonight’s edition of NXT with the title on the line before Rollins heads to Money In The Bank to face off with Finn Balor.
