Eddie Kingston Says As Long As CM Punk Is Helping AEW, No One Can Complain
Eddie Kingston talks CM Punk and those who are not fans of Punk.
Punk made his second stop on his return tour in Canada, competing on last night’s AEW Collision before his match tonight at Forbidden Door against Satoshi Kojima. Punk would receive a largely negative reaction last night. One person who knows all about not liking CM Punk is Eddie Kingston, who feuded with Punk upon him signing with AEW in 2021.
Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Eddie Kingston addressed recent reports about people in the AEW locker room being unhappy about Punk’s return.
“He did it his way and that’s the way wanted to do it. I expected it,” Kingston said about Punk’s return on AEW Collision. “I knew it was happening, knowing Punk and what he thought was right for him. That’s it. I see the reports. I see the clickbait on YouTube. But the locker room is not divided, not the people I hang out with. Punk’s gonna do what Punk does and if whatever Punk does helps this company, no one can say anything.”
“Not me, man. Not my crew of people I hang out with. Maybe there’s that one percent that are bothered but the people I chill with, they’re good. They don’t care.”

Kingston is set to team with The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), Tomohiro Ishii, & Hangman Page against Konosuke Takeshita, Shota Umino & Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
