Moments ago, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to announce that – after last weeks shenanigans – Lio Rush will be teaming up with Nick Aldis to take on the current World & X Divsision Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns – Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin
On last weeks episode, Nick Aldis was explaining why he turned on Alex Shelley a few weeks back when he laid Shelley out with the IMPACT World Title belt at the end of a tag team match where they were on the same team.
Shelley didn’t want to hear any of it and battled with Aldis, prompting Sabin to come out and running Aldis off.
Lio Rush appeared out of nowhere and blindsided Chris Sabin with his own X Division Title belt.
Chris Sabin was fuming after the attack. He challenged Lio Rush to a match at Slammiversary and even said he’d be willing to put his X Division Title on the line in the match.
The match was made official, as well as Nick Aldis taking on Alex Shelley taking for the IMPACT World Title.
