Darby Allin Says Sting Comes Up With His Own High Risk Spots
Darby Allin talks Sting’s risk taking antics.
Darby is someone who takes a lot of risks in the ring, which is nothing new to fans of his in 2023. However, his mentor Sting has been doing more and more big spots despite his age. Sting says his retirement is coming up, but you wouldn’t think it with the big spots he has been pulling out recently.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Allin gave an update on his mentor Sting.
“He’s actually doing great. We talked the day after and he said he’s feeling great, which is awesome because I pulled him aside after that match and said, ‘be honest with me, how are you feeling? Not just your mouth, but your neck, every single thing about your body.’ People forget that he retired in 2014 when he took a buckle bomb. For him to be going as hard. Trust me, it’s none of my ideas. It’s all him. ‘Alright, is there a ladder here tonight? I’ll jump off it.’ A lot of people think it’s me being the bad influence, but no, it’s him. He has that hunger and that want to give the fans something. He’s feeling great and I’m stoked,”

Sting has jumped off balconies and stages since returning to the ring for AEW, most recently jumping off a huge ladder onto Sammy Guevara below through a table.
