Lio Rush Wins Debut Match, Pins Chris Sabin Ahead of Slammiversary X Division Title Match
Lio Rush appeared on IMPACT Wrestling last week when he wrestled and defeated 2022 Gut Check winner Jack Price.
Later in the night, Lio attacked Chris Sabin with his X Division title belt, much like Nick Aldis did to Alex Shelley a few weeks ago.
After being assaulted with the belt moments before, Chris Sabin was fired up backstage and challenged Lio Rush to a match at Slammiversary in which Sabin would put his X Division Title on the line. The match was made official shortly after.
Lio Rush and Nick Aldis defeated the Motor City Machine Guns in an excellent match. Lio pinned Chris Sabin after hitting a FINAL HOUR off the top rope.
