AJPW Star Atsuki Aoyagi Challenges GHC Jr Heavyweight Champion HAYATA, Match Made Official
The current Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Jr Heavyweight Champion HAYATA has his next opponent. At NOAH’s Sunny Voyage 2023 event on July 9th, All Japan Pro Wrestling star Atsuki Aoyagi made an appearance and challenged HAYATA for the title.
Aoyagi, who recently lost the AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Title, engaged in a verbal confrontation with HAYATA in which Aoyagi stated:
“I’m here for HAYATA. I lost the World Jr. belt, so I’m free! So let me challenge for that belt and I will win it after entertaining the NOAH fans”
HAYATA responded by saying Aoyagi was “next”.
The huge inter-promotional match was quickly made official for July 20.
