Talks to Bring Don King To MLW Started Over the WrestleMania 38 Weekend, According To Court Bauer
Don King unexpectedly showed up at MLW Never Say Never, when it was revealed that he was a supporter of Alex Kane and Bomaye Fight Club.
King is a renowned boxing promoter who has collaborated with illustrious figures like Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, and Muhammad Ali.
Talks with King reportedly started during the WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas, according to MLW Owner Court Bauer in an interview with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post. King was on board, he informed Kane in April 2022, but “schedules and other circumstances delayed King from actually shooting something for MLW for about a year.”
According to Bauer, King’s collaboration with MLW is still an option moving ahead. King won’t be there every week, but he will be a reoccurring figure.
“The goal, of course, is to have him there [in person], but having his presence with pretapes with Alex [Kane] those kinds of things. We will always find a way to do it,”

In the main event at MLW Never Say Never, Kane defeated Alex Hammerstone to win the world heavyweight championship.
