Carlito was originally scheduled to return to WWE on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown.
Carlito returned to the company for a cameo at WWE Backlash, but reports have been swirling that Carlito has been re-signed by the company on a full time deal.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now notes that Carlito was originally scheduled to return on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown in Madison Square Garden but his return was postponed due to the show being stacked.
Carlito was originally scheduled to return on the Smackdown show in Madison Square Garden, and the idea is he’s on the Smackdown brand. It ended up being canceled because of how much they had to cram into the show.

We will have to wait and see if WWE will pull the trigger on tonight’s edition of SmackDown for the former United States Champion’s return.
