Injury Update On Former IMPACT World Champion
Steve Maclin sustained an injury during his World Title rematch against Alex Shelley during the Australia Down Under Tour.
Fightful select has posted an injury update on Steve Maclin.
There’s some good news and some bad news on Steve Maclin.
The former IMPACT World Champion was slated for Slammiversary until an injury pulled him from the show. We were told more would be known this week, and we’ve learned that Maclin sustained a groin tear. Fortunately as of now, it doesn’t look like it’s going to require surgery.
A return timetable isn’t known at this point. Maclin was replaced by Cody Deaner in the match against Scott D’Amore and a mystery opponent.
The fans hope to see Maclin back in IMPACT very soon, terrorizing the roster and back with some gold around his waist.
Myself and the Bodyslam staff wish Maclin a speedy recovery.
