Mr. Stone: My Attention Is On Managing, But I’m Cool With Wrestling Occasionally
Mr. Stone is intent on guiding his clients to the world title picture.
Stone has been wrestling for over 20 years, most recently as Robbie E in TNA/IMPACT. However, he has only wrestled four times since signing with WWE in 2019. In February 2023, he wrestled at an NXT live event for the last time. Having said that, he has appeared as a manager on NXT. Stone founded the Robert Stone Brand and is now Von Wagner’s manager.
Stone was asked about his future as an in-ring combatant by Nick Hausman for Haus of Wrestling. He indicated that he could lace up his boots once a year, but he is more concerned with taking others to the world championship picture.
“If I gotta lace up my … now it wouldn’t even be wrestling boots, maybe wrestling shoes? Or like dress shoes turned into wrestling boots? Whatever it would be that I would have to lace up, if I had to lace them up one time a year, maybe this body could still, kind of, hold up to that. I’m more focused on getting guys to the world title picture and pushing them to the moon as opposed to pushing myself. If I gotta do it once in a while, I will. It would be cool, you know, I have six-year-old twins. I think they would get a kick out of watching me just get destroyed and beat up and thrown around the ring,”
Mr.Stone on his in ring career moving forward
There is no indication on when Stone will wrestle again as of this writing.
