Matt Cardona Recalls Time Airport Security Thought His Deathmatch King Crown Was A Gun
Matt Cardona, who does extensive travelling due to his high demand, was a recently interviewed by WrestlingNews.Co and recalled a humorous involving airport security.
Cardona told a story about the time airport security had mistaken his Deathmatch King Crown for a gun:
I travel with four bags, it’s unbelievable. I have a bag with my clothes and my normal stuff, then I have a bag with all my gear and the championships, then I have a bag which is basically a portable mall, everything that I sell at my gimmick table. Then I have this case that looks like you’d carry a gun in it, it actually got stopped by TSA. They held my bag back, I was waiting at the conveyor belt and it didn’t come around. I went to baggage, they had it back there like it as a gun… it’s my Deathmatch King crown. It’s a lot of bags to travel with.”
Speaking of traveling, Matt Cardona will be heading to Japan to challenge Tetsuya Endo for the DDT Pro Universal Title on July 23rd. Cardona is also set to make his MLW debut on September 3rd at MLW Fury Road.
