Zachary Wentz Talks Dream Opponents: Lio Rush, Ospreay, Rollins, Hardy Boyz; Says IMPACT Should Sign The DYAD Once They’re Free Agents
Zachary Wentz talks dream matches for himself as a singles competitor and The Rascalz as a tag team. The one match he says he’s wanted his whole life is a tag team match against Matt and Jeff, The Hardys.
While speaking with Lee Tarrier from PW Mania, Wentz name drops all kinds of ’dream opponents.’
“I want The Hardys, absolutely. That’s one I’ve wanted my whole life because that’s the team that I grew up loving. That was it for me. And then singles wise man, that’s a hard one. I’ve never had a singles match with Osprey. I’d like one with him. I’ve never had a singles match with Lio. I would like one with him. I would really, really, really like to work with Seth Rollins in a singles match just because I was always a huge fan of him. His style is just phenomenal. He’s phenomenal. So yeah, I could keep naming off names, but we ain’t got time,” said Wentz.

During the same interview, Wentz also mentioned wanting IMPACT Wrestling to bring in The Dyad (formerly the Grizzled Young Veterans) -whom he wrestled in NXT – when they become free agents in October.
In April, The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) both took to Twitter and shared that they requested their releases from WWE, but the requests was denied. Both of their deals expire in mid-October.
Both talents noted that they’ll be free agents come October 2023.
As of today, WWE has denied my request for my release.
I want to thank you all for your support throughout my career, I’ll never take that for granted.
My contract with WWE expires on 14th October 2023.
I’m excited to share our next chapter, once we are free agents.

Trey comments on the team and says IMPACT should absolutely bring them in.
G.Y.V., absolutely bar none. GYV’s my favorite tag team. They are the lads, they’re the boys. They’re absolutely incredible or what are they called now? The Dyad? The Dyad, those guys are top notch. Literally one of the best tag teams ever and those guys’ minds for everything. I know I’ve said that a lot but just how they put together tag team wrestling is truly an art form and I learned so much from them and so, those guys. Also, Legado Del Fantasma. Those guys, beautiful (he laughed).
If Fowler and Reid opt to depart WWE, Wentz urged IMPACT Wrestling to bring them in. He said he’s interested in the dynamic of them going against a different combination of The Rascalz with himself and Trey Miguel.
If they (The Dyad) decided to leave (WWE) and IMPACT can get them, please get them. Please. Please, please, please, please, please. I want to be in the ring with them again because you know, it is a new dynamic of The Rascalz. You know, myself and Wes (Lee) or Dez, whatever you wanna call him, we wrestled them and now I wanna wrestle them with Trey (Miguel) because yes, we are The Rascalz but there are still small components of who we are as this combination that could match with them in a different light and make more magic.
