On the July 23 All Japan Pro-Wrestling Summer Action Series event at the Edion Arena Osaka, the current AJPW World Team Champions Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi put their titles on the line against Minoru Suzuki and Hokuto Omori.

Despite being taken to the limit by Suzuki and Omori, Miyahara and Aoyagi prevailed after Miyahara pinned Omori following a Shutdown Suplex. A clip of the match is below:

Following the match, Yuji Nagata and Ryuki Honda came to the ring and challenged Miyahara and Aoyagi for the titles.

Ryuki Honda made these comments backstage after the challenge:

Next time, I will challenge the world tag belt with Mr. Nagata and I will defeat Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi and lead the new era of All Japan Pro Wrestling.

As if this writing, an official match announcement between the two teams has not yet been made.
