Jeff Hardy Addresses The “Bizarre” Possibility Of Facing CM Punk In AEW
Jeff Hardy discusses the prospect of renewing a previous rivalry.
Back in the late 2000s, Hardy and Punk had an incredible rivalry on SmackDown for the World Heavyweight Championship. The clashing personalities of Hardy has a substance user while Punk was straight edge provided a powder keg of a story that culminated in Hardy exiting the company after a loser leaves steel cage match.
Now, both men are currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, with Punk and Hardy even being involved in the same segment just a few weeks ago. While speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm at MCW Pro Wrestling’s Fan Jam event over the weekend, Hardy was asked if he would want to work with CM Punk again in AEW.
Yeah, I haven’t thought about a match that much, I mean, I have a little bit, I just think what I’ve seen more than anything is there’s just a huge moment between me and CM Punk, because of the history alone.
Ultimately, I could see us having another match and I think it would bizarre in the best of ways.”

Hardy was written off AEW television for their time in Canada due to him not being allowed to enter the country.
We will have to wait and see if Punk and Hardy will battle in singles action in the near future.
