Ilja Dragunov discusses how he will change NXT once he becomes the brands champion.
Dragunov, who recently addressed the rumors that he would join Imperium, is scheduled to challenge for the NXT title on Sunday’s The Great American Bash show where he will face off with champion Carmelo Hayes.
Speaking about the upcoming championship match with Cultaholic, Dragunov made the claim that he will make NXT the most intense brand of WWE once he becomes champion.
“Being the face of NXT is dependent on what the people want,” he said. “Do you want to have the most intense man in NXT being NXT Champion? Do you want to have the person with the biggest passion and the biggest intensity level, with the highest resilience, being the champion of the brand? Do you want the strongest possible person to be the champ of the brand? I don’t know, but as soon as I am the NXT Champion, you will definitely have that. So, you will really have the most intense brand then.”

We will have to wait and see if Dragunov will be able to capture the championship from Carmelo tomorrow night.
