Summer Rae has two possible roles for AEW in mind.
Summer is a former WWE superstar and was a member of the Total Divas reality show on E! while she was signed to the promotion. Summer retired from the ring full time in 2016, but has flirted with the idea of a full time return in the past.
In a new interview with The Wrestling Classic, Summer was asked who she would like to valet and team with respectively in the industry, naming Lucha Bros and Orange Cassidy in both categories.
“Lucha Bros [laughs]. I love them, and I’ve never met them. I’m meeting them probably tonight at Ring of Honor. I love them. I don’t speak Spanish, so I’ll be super heel, they’re super baby, you’ll be torn and conflicted.”
“If I could tag with anyone, and it was a boy, I don’t know if that’s allowed, but I’d want to be with Orange Cassidy because it’s this redheaded-ness, and again, I’m a bitch, and he’s nice. I’m very upbeat, spastic and don’t shut up, and he’s very…it’s opposites.”

Summer’s last match in pro wrestling took place when she made a cameo appearance in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
