During AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm would main event the show.
The match was highly competitive from the word go, with Hikaru Shida showing some incredible heart early on and late in the matchup.
As expected in the match, Toni Storm would have the help of The Outcasts on the outside, which led to Shida’s kendo stick being pushed into the ring. Shida would use the stick on The Outcasts, taking them out of the equation. After a sequence of rollups, Shida would end up stealing the win, capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship for the second time.
