IYO SKY is now the WWE Women’s Champion.
At SummerSlam, Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair battled it out for the WWE Women’s Championship in a triple threat match. The match was a non stop action affair. The main point of the matchup came when Bianca Belair was lifted over the top rope, landing on her knee against the steel ring steps.
It turned out that she was selling the injury, despite many being convinced she was actually hurt. She would return to the matchup and would actually end up capturing the championship after rolling up Asuka while being caught in the Figure 8.
After the match however, before Bianca could celebrate, IYO Sky’s music would hit, with Bayley clearing the path for SKY to cash in her briefcase, hitting a moonsault and pinning Bianca Belair to become the new WWE Women’s Champion.
