Shayna Baszler Says Beating Ronda Rousey At SummerSlam Will Be A New Beginning For Her

Shayna Baszler talks what comes next after SummerSlam.

The two women are long time friends, and former training partners in mixed martial arts. They also recently held the WWE Women’s tag team championships.

Speaking to Haley from Nerds & Beyond, Baszler discussed what comes next for her after her MMA rules bout with Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam tonight.

“Look, if I beat Ronda Rousey in a fight, the thing she’s best in the world at, I think everybody’s heads from top of the card to the bottom of the card — I think all of their heads have to turn my way. So I look at this like beating Ronda Rousey will be a new beginning for me. It’s only up from there, and along that path, if there happens to be certain champions there, you know, they’ll get messed up too. So we’ll see.”

We will have to wait and see if Baszler can put away her former friend on tonight’s Premium Live Event.
