Macrae Martin & Junior Benito aka Fresh Air Win IWS Tag Team Titles
New International Syndicate Wrestling Tag Team champions were crowned at the promotions Hardcore Heat event on August 5th in Montreal at Bain Mathieu.
One of the quickly rising teams on the indy scene Macrae Martin and Junior Benito aka Fresh Air defeated Amazingly Sweet (Alex Maze and Kristara) at IWS Hardcore Heat to become the new IWS Tag Team Champions.
Amazingly Sweet had held the titles since May 27th of this year.
This is the first tag team title reign for Fresh Air since they began teaming together.
Bodyslam.net was able to obtain exclusive comments from Macrae Martin and Junior Benito following their huge title win.
From Macrae Martin:
Winning the IWS tag titles is really special to me. Not only because of the teams who have held them before us such as TDT and Super Smash Bros 2.0 but IWS was where I started my training in 2018, it’s where I had my first match and it’s now where Junior and I have won our first tag titles as Fresh Air.
From Junior Benito:
This is the first, but it definitely won’t be the last time you’ll see Fresh Air winning tag team championship gold. This first title win will not make us complacent. It will fuel us to get better and prove why we’ve earned the right to be champions.
International Wrestling Syndicate’s next show is on September 16th as they present Know Your Enemies. There has been no official announcement as of this writing if Fresh Air will be defending their newly won tag team titles as the event.
