SummerSlam 2023: Roman Reigns And Jey Uso Tribal Combat Match Result And Aftermath
The main event of SummerSlam was a family affair.
Tribal Combat was everything that fans expected and more as Jey Uso looked to become Tribal Chief and WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. The match pulled no punches early on with the two men beating each other with weapons an their own bodies as Paul Heyman watched on helplessly. Some early spots included a Samoan Drop from Jey to Roman, putting him through a table on the outside.
After this, the two men would brawl into the stands, where Solo Sikoa was waiting, turning the tide for Roman with a beatdown of his older brother. After a spear spike combo was setup, Roman speared Solo by accident, but Solo would still remain part of the match, superkicking Jey. This would then lead to tension between Solo and Roman, only for Jey to spear Roman through the barricade before hitting a splash to Solo through the announce table.
However the finish of the match consisted of Jimmy Uso pulling Jey out of the ring when he had the match won. He would then hand Jey to Roman for the victory, hitting a spear through a table setup in the corner after the match.
