Baron Corbin wants to remain in NXT.
The Lone Wolf has been working NXT for quite some time now, and has been a free agent since the 2023 WWE Draft.
Corbin returned to the brand on the May 30th episode of NXT, attacking Carmelo Hayes and staking his claim for the NXT Championship.
He remains a part of the brand, and is currently feuding with Gable Steveson. Speaking to The Angle Podcast at WWE SummerSlam media, Corbin was asked about being a WWE free agent.
“I’m still on all three shows. I am fighting to stay in NXT a little bit. I really want give our audience a good break from me, give them a few months without driving them nuts. I would like to personally stay in NXT for a couple more months and really fine tune the details of what I’m trying to bring to the people. NXT is great. I’ve been enjoying working with those superstars. They have a lot of energy, a lot of excitement, they love this. It’s a fun place to be,”

Corbin and Gable faced off at NXT Great American Bash with the bout ending in a double count out.
