Damage CTRL look back on their first year as a faction together.
After Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch at SummerSlam 2022, Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO Sky made an appearance, forming the faction that would become known as Damage CTRL.
At SummerSlam 2023, IYO Sky successfully cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase on new WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
“Beyond words. [To Dakota] thanks for coming back. You always help me. Bayley always helps me a lot. I always appreciate you guys,” IYO said during the WWE SummerSlam press conference when asked about winning the title and having Kai & Bayley by her side.
Bayley added, “A year ago, we set out this goal of what we wanted to do and the whole year was so many waves of emotion, so many different things happened. We lost Dakota a couple of months ago. Such a downfall. We had so many highs, so many lows, but we still stuck together. We’re still here right now, a year later. [Money in the Bank briefcase] was a big deal. The fact that she walked out with [WWE Women’s Title] tonight, beating Bianca Belair, who we confronted last year, brought it all back around.”

We will have to wait ad see what comes next for Damage CTRL, but for now the trio remain celebrating IYO Sky’s huge win at SummerSlam.
