We now have more details on WWE’s recently reported hiring freeze.
The company have not been signing much if any talent in the last few months, with little in the way of details as to why bar an unofficial hiring freeze being reportedly implemented.
Fightful Select have now provided a fresh update on the matter, noting that while the hiring freeze was not official, it was no coincidence some top free agents weren’t snapped up by the company.
We asked backstage this week about the WWE hiring freeze. Those we spoke to said that it hasn’t been official, but it certainly isn’t an accident that no main roster wrestlers had been hired since December when the likes of Jay White, Nick Aldis, Mercedes Mone, Trinity and Tama Tonga had been on the market.

While it seems the hiring freeze has been discontinued as we have exclusively reported that Brian Pillman Jr is on his way to WWE, we will have to wait and see if WWE will snap up any high profile free agents in the coming months.
