Hikaru Shida Defeats Anna Jay, Retains AEW Women’s World Championship On AEW Dynamite
Hikaru Shida is still champion and has advanced to Wembley Stadium.
It was announced early on during this week’s AEW Dynamite that there would be an AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal Four Way match, with Toni Storm being the first woman to qualify for the matchup.
Anna Jay would challenge Shida for the AEW Women’s World Title in the main event of Dynamite and despite Jay’s best efforts and the attempted interference of Angelo Parker and Daddy Magic, Shida was able to defeat Anna to retain her title.
Shida joins Storm in the matchup and will be joined by either Saraya or Skye Blue and Britt Baker or The Bunny at Wembley later this month.
