Damage CTRL Attack Charlotte Flair And Asuka On SmackDown
Charlotte Flair and Asuka battled it out on Friday’s SmackDown.
The two women took part in a WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat match at SummerSlam which also featured Bianca Belair. Belair would win the match, but quickly lost the championship to IYO Sky. Asuka and Charlotte Flair were booked to face off in singles action earlier today, and it would be both a new and old rivalry renewed on SmackDown.
Charlotte would open SmackDown to a loud reception from the Calgary crowd, still showing off the confidence we know her for so well. Asuka would be out next, still repping the unhinged manicness we also know her for.
Their match would be competitive from the get go, with the two familiar opponents picked up where they have left off at SummerSlam. Charlotte was much more aggressive and focused in her performance tonight, selling the loss from Saturday’s show.
Soon after however, IYO SKY’s music would hit, with Damage CTRL surrounding the ring. IYO would then hit a springboard double dropkick on the competitors, causing a DQ. After the match, Bayley and IYO would throw Asuka and Charlotte Flair into the ring posts.
