Report: MLW Star Alex Hammerstone Set For Major Heel Turn

In a new report from Fightful Select, current MLW star Alex Hammerstone is set to have a major heel run this fall. Details of Hammerstone’s heel turn have not been revealed.

Alex Hammerstone, who is arguably the face of MLW, has been on quite a run as one of the top stars of the promotion. Hammerstone was the inaugural MLW National Openweight Champion and held the title for 856 days. He relinquished MLW National Openweight title when he won the MLW World Championship by defeating Jacob Fatu on October 2, 2021. He held the MLW World Title for 644 days before dropping the belt to Alex Kane on July 8, 2023.

Hammerstone has had numerous memorable feuds as a babyface against some of MLW’s top heels including Jacob Fatu, Mads Krugger, and more recently Richard Holliday. Hammerstone represented MLW in the Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2019 tournament.

It will be interesting to see how the reported heel turn will play out and if the fans of MLW are ready to boo Alex Hammerstone.
