Brian Myers: “If IMPACT Will Have Me, I’ll End My Career There”
Brian Myers was released from WWE in April of 2020. By August of that year, he was stepping into an IMPACT Wrestling ring, and has been with the company ever since.
Myers had had a few top title opportunities in IMPACT, which includes debuting in an Open Challenge for the World Title, as well as against Christian Cage at Emergence 2021 for the World Title.
Last December, Sports Illustrated reported that Myers inked a new 1 year deal with the company.
He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: “If IMPACT will have me – I probably shouldn’t say this out loud, but I’ll end my career there.”
“I’ll be there as long as I can because I’m having that much fun, the schedule is a little more lenient, it allows me to be Super Dad when I’m home. It’s pretty much perfect for me, you know?”
Speaking about his release from WWE in 2020, Myers mentions IMPACT being ‘one of the best things to ever happen to him.’
“It was kinda like my whole world was spinning,’ he admitted. ‘Joining IMPACT was one of the best things that ever happened in my career, and I like to think IMPACT was pretty blessed by it too because I’ve worked my ass off in every situation.”
Myers talks about wanting to go after the top prize – the IMPACT World Title – and the legacy it holds.
“I think [the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship is] mine for the taking. I’ve worked my ass off for the past three years, I don’t think there’s anyone who can say they’ve done what I’ve done in IMPACT in the past three years,’ he said.
‘I’ve been the workhorse and backbone of this company for three years, I’ve done everything that’s asked of me to the best of my abilities at the highest level, never disappointed, never missed a beat, represented the company at the highest levels.’
Looking ahead to the upcoming UK dates, he said: ‘I’m very excited! IMPACT Wrestling’s a growing product – I know it was once a powerhouse in the UK, so it’s cool to take that leap back almost to its roots.
‘I’m glad to be a part of it, and I know the crowd are going to be equally excited and electric! To be a part of that, it’s going to be pretty awesome.’

Myers has had many roles during his time with IMPACT, including tagging with his best friend Matt Cardona as the Major Players, forming the Learning Tree – which he used to attempt to train inexperienced wrestlers, being a former IMPACT Digital Media Champion, and most recently forming “The Most Professional Wrestling Gods” with Moose and going after the IMPACT Tag Team Titles.
Many fans hope to see Myers stick around for many years to come and eventually retire in IMPACT, so let’s hope he gets his wish.
