Gunther wants to walk into WrestleMania 40’s main event as Intercontinental Champion.
Gunther’s reign as Intercontinental Champion has been nothing short of legendary. She has held the title for an incredible amount of time and is heading towards becoming the longest reigning champion of all time.
While speaking with Steve Fall, Gunther talked about main-eventing WrestleMania 40 as the Intercontinental Champion.
“Who knows? If I get the chance of being in the Royal Rumble as the Intercontinental Champion, maybe. Yeah, I think going into that, I would be a favorite, so that would lead to WrestleMania [40]. So, the chance is there.”

We will have to wait and see if Gunther will still remain the Intercontinental Champion up until WrestleMania but at present, he will be facing Chad Gable with the title on the line on Monday’s RAW.
