Roman Reigns will not be on hand for WWE Payback.
It was reported earlier this month that Roman Reigns sustained an injury in his matchup with Jey Uso at SummerSlam in their Tribal Combat match. The injury happened early, with Roman picking up the victory in the end all the same thanks to some help from Jimmy Uso. With this injury, there has been much made of how long Reigns will be on the shelf and if he would feature on WWE’s next Premium Live Event, Payback.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter was able to confirm that Roman Reigns will not be on that Payback show.
Reigns featured on last week’s edition of SmackDown, eating a spear from his cousin Jey.
Jey would then superkick his brother Jimmy, quitting SmackDown and WWE before leaving through the crowd. It seems for the time being a matchup between the brothers.
