Grayson Waller And Carmelo Hayes Told Each Other They Will Be At WrestleMania 40
Two of the brightest stars in NXT’s recent history both stated that they will be on WrestleMania 40 next year.
Per Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell, WrestleMania 40 has broken the WWE all-time gate record, which was previously set at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles. WrestleMania in Los Angeles drew over 21 million dollars. Over 90,000 tickets for both nights have been purchased.
Waller is just getting started on the main roster in WWE, while Hayes remains a stalwart of NXT and is the current NXT Champion. While speaking on on The Daily Ticket, Waller noted that he and Hayes told each other they will be at the Premium Live Event in Philadelphia next year.
“I don’t think there is any point in having goals if they are not lofty. If you say, ‘I want to go to the gym today,’ great. I’m a WWE superstar, I can’t have simple goals. If I have simple goals as a WWE superstar, I’m just another guy. Do you want to be a WWE superstar or do you want to be a great one? There is a huge gap between that. With WrestleMania, I’ve never performed (there). Last year, after (NXT) Stand & Deliver, myself and Carmelo Hayes got to sit and watch in the skybox and watch WrestleMania. We looked at each other and it wasn’t a situation of ‘wow, this is so cool.’ It was, ‘that’s where we are going to be next year.’ We told each other that. That’s my goal,”

Waller’s time on the WWE main roster has been a tumultuous one and has shared the ring with legends like Edge and John Cena since being called up to the WWE main roster earlier this year as part of the WWE Draft.
