Jeff Jarrett Was Blown Away By True Sponsorship Pay Number For Texas Chainsaw Massacre Matchup
The matchup was an interesting one to say the least as Jeff Hardy and Jeff Jarrett battled in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch. The match featured several references to the horror franchise, as the match was sponsored by the upcoming video game release for the IP.
The match would end up even including Leatherface, who came out with a chainsaw as the match reached its final stretch. He would chase away Karen Jarrett during his spot, with him having little actual effect on the matchup.
Speaking on his My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, Jarrett commented on the matchup, noting the original number
“Just to let you in on this, the number that’s being reported online, that’s why I haven’t commented on it, it’s way low. It blew me away,”
Big smile. This is super inside baseball. Knowing the charity aspect, also knowing the nuts and bolts of the value of just this integration, I mean, it’s a lot more than [what’s] being reported. But also the Avenue that this can take us. This is how Tony’s organization did this integration so the next integration may or may not be as deep. But basically, new frontier, new business development, new opportunities, I could go on and on. I believe Tony said this. Loved it, super pleased, happy, but it goes a lot more…. Was Tony’s cup of tea fake blood being poured on and then real blood coming out of my head, then the guitar shot or kendo stick or the backstage, all that, I’m not saying that. From a business perspective, and that’s what all this is, super excited and was very appreciative of it,”
Jeff Jarrett
Prior to the matchup, Jeff Jarrett confirmed that Leatherface would show up during the matchup
Jarrett would end up scoring the victory after Satnam Singh chokeslammed Hardy.
