The 10th All Japan Pro-Wrestling Royal Road Tournament is well under way with the second round of matches in the books.
23 year old Ryuki Honda has been the talk of Royal Road with two surprising victories over AJPW Triple Crown Champion Yuma Aoyagi and AJPW ace Kento Miyahara in back to back nights thus eliminating them from the tournament.
Ryuki Honda commented on his victories and how he is represents the new era of AJPW:
I defeated Yuma Aoyagi, the five-crown champion, and Kento Miyahara, the ace, and Nagoya is next. It is Suwama, a symbol of all Japan professional wrestling. In both the semi-finals and the final, I, Ryuki Honda, will definitely win and take you into a new era.
Ryuki Honda is set to face Suwama in a semifinal match on August 27th.
