Willow Nightingale Says Mercedes Mone Would Be A Great Fit For AEW
Willow Nightingale talks Mercedes Mone.
While she is currently out of action with an ankle injury, fans have continued to hope that the formerly known as Sasha Banks will make her way to All Elite Wrestling. After leaving WWE, Mone made her way to New Japan Pro Wrestling and was IWGP Women’s Champion for a brief time.
One woman who has faced off with Mercedes recently is Willow Nightingale, who faced off with Mone to decide the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion.
Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Willow was asked about the possibility of Mercedes joining AEW.
“If that is what she would want to do and she would want to be part of our team, I would love it. I think she’s undoubtedly an amazing performer. One of the pivotal people in creating women’s wrestling to be in the space that it is today. There is no denying just how prolific she is and the star power she brings. She would be a great fit for our team. The world is her oyster. She’s really proved that going out on her own and finding so much success in New Japan. I do wish her well, I hope she’s healing up good. Whatever she wants to do, she’s got it,”

There is currently no timetable for Mone’s return to action.
