Original SmackDown Plans Thrown Out, Significant Tribute Element To Bray Wyatt Planned

WWE have thrown out previous plans for Friday Night SmackDown.

The former WWE Champion has been battling a mystery illness since earlier this year, but recent reports stated that Wyatt was on the mend. However, things have now took a tragic turn as Wyatt has tragically died, as announced by Triple H on social media.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has now revealed Bray’s cause of death, noting that after a bout with Covid earlier this year, Wyatt’s heart issues were made worse, leading to a heart attack on Thursday.

Fightful Select now reports that when news broken of Wyatt’s death, WWE reportedly threw out plans for Friday’s show, opting for a tribute show instead.

The original plans for tonight’s Smackdown were scrapped, Fightful was told. There will be a significant tribute element to tonight’s program, as is expected. Many talent flew in on short notice

Wyatt made his incredible return to WWE at Extreme Rules 2022, shocking the wrestling world.

WWE also announced that all proceeds from Wyatt’s merchandise will be paid to his family.

It was also reported that Cody Rhodes and Braun Strowman have been flown in for the show.
