Bobby Roode Sees Internal Name Change
Robert Roode has been out of action for quite a long time in WWE, but that does not mean the company is not utilizing him during his healing. As of this summer, Roode has been on the road producing matches for the weekly episodes, live events, and premium live events.
A change that fans might not know of yet is a slight name change internally. Fightful Select has the scoop:
Internally, Robert Roode went from being listed as “Robert” to “Bobby.” It may be completely unrelated, but in the past, Vince McMahon insisted “Petey” Williams instead be called “Pete.”

Roode’s last match took place in June 2022 in a house show against Omos, with his last televised match being the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April of that same year during the WrestleMania SmackDown episode of the blue brand.
