“ If [Terry Funk] were wrestling today, I fully believe he’d be in AEW and doing shows for Revolver or BloodSport and doing Canadian Destroyers. He was doing moonsaults in his 50s. He wasn’t the type of guy who’d say the kids today couldn’t work.”

Terry Funk had spent decades refining his craft, whether it was in the NWA territories, All Japan Pro Wrestling, WWF, WCW, WWE, ECW, or ROH. He was a source of inspiration for wrestlers who thought outside of the box, such as the aforementioned Jon Moxley, as well as Eddie Kingston, Mick Foley, and CM Punk.
