On September 3rd at Major League Wrestling’s Fury Road event, Ricky Shane Page defeated Jacob Fatu in a Weapons of Mass Destruction Match to become the new MLW National Openweight Champion.
Ricky Shane Page had to rely on some help from his fellow The Calling faction member Akira who was able to distract Fatu which allowed Page to hit a DDT on a steel chair to secure the victory.
Jaocb Fatu won the MLW National Openweight Title back on April 6th when he defeated John Hennigan. Fatu was making his third title defense at Fury Road against Page.
Ricky Shane Page also holds the MLW World Tag Team Championship with Akira.
