Dakota Kai reveals when she could return to action for WWE.
At SummerSlam, IYO SKY cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase to become the WWE Women’s Champion and Dakota Kai was present after an incredible journey to make the event in time.
This appearance from Kai would bleed into recent SmackDown’s where she would be present as Damage CTRL laid out Asuka and Charlotte Flair, re-establishing their dominance over the SmackDown women’s roster.
Speaking on her Twitch stream, Kai was asked when she would be wrestling again.
Probably 2024. I do think it’s funny that a lot of people are like, ‘she’s not injured at all. Look at her walking around.’ ACL injury, I haven’t even learned how to start running and jumping again yet. I think I’m going to start running this week. ACL recovery, especially for someone in sport, we use our legs a lot. If I were a desk worker, I’d be back at work. Because it’s wrestling, I won’t be cleared until January,”

We will have to wait and see when Dakota will make her return to the ring, but it looks like at minimum, we will have to wait until early 2024 before Kai recovers from her knee injury.
