Injury Update On Piper Niven After She Wasn’t Cleared For Monday’s RAW
One half of the women’s tag team champions was not cleared for Monday’s RAW.
Piper Niven was absent from last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW, and Adam Pearce announced that she wasn’t cleared to wrestle. This sparked worries from many fans not only for Piper, but the future of the WWE Women’s tag titles.
Fortunately, per Fightful Select, Piper is dealing with a minor illness and will be back in the ring shortly.

On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Adam Pearce stated that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven wasn’t cleared to wrestle. This caused a collective groan from the audience, fearing the “cursed” tag team titles were headed down the same path. As things stand, that isn’t the case. Fightful Select was told by WWE sources that there are no plans to vacate the tag team titles, or move them off of Piper Niven. The word backstage is that Niven was dealing with a short term illness and would hopefully be back in a week or two if all goes well.
Piper is Chelsea Green’s replacement partner for Sonya Deville, who suffered a torn ACL recently. Piper did not give Chelsea much choice however as 3 weeks ago on RAW, she made it clear it was not a negotiation.
