General Adnan (Adnan Al-Kaissy) Passes Away At The Age Of 84
General Adnan has passed away aged 84.
The news was first broke by legendary announcer Ken Resnick on Facebook.
General Adnan was the first Iraqi native to compete in the WWF and was a former tag team champion. Adnan also appeared in the AWA and the NWA.
He formerly managed his own company, the World All-Star Wrestling Alliance, which he co-owned with Ken Patera.
In terms of mainstream notoriety, on November 22, 2006, he appeared on Fox News Channel‘s Hannity & Colmes describing his encounters with a young Saddam Hussein. In 2005, Adnan released an autobiography titled ‘The Sheik of Baghdad: Tales of Celebrity and Terror from Pro Wrestling’s General Adnan’.
Adnan was also a playable character in multiple games in the WWE 2K franchise.
