The Young Bucks Were Reportedly Never Asked To Sit Down With CM Punk
The Young Bucks and CM Punk have had their history with All Out 2022 still remaining fresh in fans minds just a year later.
It has been a tumultuous couple of weeks regarding CM Punk. At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
A report has been circulating since Punk’s firing, suggesting that The Elite blew off an agreed meeting with Punk.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the Young Bucks were never approached to sit down with Punk for a meeting.
“It is true that people in the company wanted Punk and the Young Bucks to meet, but it was never asked because of the belief it would be turned down by the Young Bucks.”
