WWE have issued a statement on the incident involving Matt Riddle that occurred at JFK Airport yesterday.
While travelling back from WWE Superstar Spectacle in India, Matt Riddle got involved in an incident that he first brought attention to on social media by accusing a police officer from the airport of sexual assault.
However, the incident turned out to be completely different as the officers were called to the scene as a “highly intoxicated” Riddle refused attempts to de-escalate the situation and the incident became physical.
Now, WWE have addressed the matter for the first time in a statement to Ringside News.

As mentioned, despite efforts of officers to de-escalate the situation, the incident got physical. We will have to wait and see how WWE address the matter and what form of punishment Riddle may receive for the incident.
As noted, Riddle was returning after competing on Superstar Spectacle in India.
Riddle is currently expecting his first child with partner Misha Montana.
