On this past Friday’s SmackDown, The Rock would make his explosive return to the WWE to confront Austin Theory.
In the segment, The Rock would verbally eviscerate Theory, leading a round of “you are an asshole” chants that lasted quite a while, leading to Pat McAfee remarking that the show is only two hours.
The segment went around twenty minutes and was a last minute addition to the show.
On Sunday, The Rock took to social media to reflect on his explosive WWE return.
I was – I’m still – completely blown away by this crowd reaction in Denver this past Friday night on SMACKDOWN.
My appearance was a — surprise to everyone and this crowd of 14,000 erupted with the roar of 100,000 strong.

The segment is already doing incredible numbers on YouTube, and many fans were delighted with the segment. We will have to wait and see if this continues to be the norm for big segments under Endeavor.
