An AEW star recalls being in the same math class as Aaron Rodgers and talking wrestling with the NFL quarter back.
For those who are not in the know, Aaron Rodgers is one of the top quarter backs in the NFL and has been in the news quite a bit as of late after suffering a possible season ending Achilles injury in the New York Jets’ first game of the season.
One man who knew Rodgers personally was AEW’s Brian Cage, who attended school with Rodgers when they were young.
During an appearance on Hey! (EW), Brian Cage was asked about graduating alongside Rodgers and whether they were friends.
“You know what’s so cool about him? He was a really cool guy. Everyone, that was the Attitude Era, everyone watched wrestling, doesn’t matter how much they said they didn’t watch wrestling. Everyone watched wrestling. Him, still a high school quarterback, popular guy, he never faded once. He knew I was a huge wrestling fan, so math class, we would always talk. ‘Man, you watch Raw last night? You watch Nitro?’ He knew,”
