Dominik Mysterio says it was surreal to wrestle his father at WrestleMania 39.
Beginning at WWE Clash At The Castle last year, Dominik Mysterio would turn on his father, joining the Judgement Day in the process. From then until WrestleMania, Rey would be tortured by his son and his faction until WrestleMania 39 when the pair battled in singles action.
While speaking to Metro, Dominik Mysterio was asked about squaring off against his father Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 39.
“I was like, ‘Dude… I just wrestled my dad at Wrestlemania. This is pretty surreal!’ I was like, ‘Damn, and I beat his ass!’”

Dominik would go on to lose the match with his father after Bad Bunny took a chain Dominik intended to use, causing a momentary distraction that allowed Rey to gain the advantage and the victory.
