Kris Statlander Says She And Jade Cargill Had Something To Prove In Their “Special” AEW Rampage Match

Jade Cargill is reportedly on her way to WWE after returning briefly to All Elite Wrestling over the past week.

Cargill is a former TBS Champion, holding the belt for around 500 days before dropping it to Kris Statlander back at AEW Double Or Nothing. She returned on last Saturday’s Collision and laid out Statlander, before losing a title rematch with Statlander on Friday’s Rampage.

The match was a physical one, with fans giving the match its due for how entertaining it was. The two women shared a hug after the match as Cargill said goodbye to All Elite Wrestling.

Speaking on Under The Ring before the match aired, Statlander commented on the bout.

“I’m glad the match finally happened. It’s something that I’ve been wanting for a while. There has been a lot of discourse about me not being a true champion, that it wasn’t a true open challenge that Mark put out. I feel there is a lot to prove, and we’re going to prove in this match. It’s not just about me, it’s about her also. It’s a special thing. It’s a very special match. It’s something we both wanted and a lot of people wanted to see. Going into it, we both had something to prove and it helps raise the stakes a little more. If you missed it, you should watch it,”

As of this writing, it has been reported that Jade is not making her way to WWE for financial reasons.

That being said, it has also been reported that Cargill will be on more money than usual for newcomers and will be given a focal push upon making her WWE debut.

We will have to wait and see how long it is until we see Cargill make her way to WWE television.
