Tony Khan Says Jade Cargill Is “Always Welcome” In AEW

Jade Cargill will always be welcome in All Elite Wrestling.

Cargill is a former TBS Champion, holding the belt for around 500 days before dropping it to Kris Statlander back at AEW Double Or Nothing. She returned on last Saturday’s Collision and laid out Statlander, before losing a title rematch with Statlander on Friday’s Rampage.

The match was a physical one, with fans giving the match its due for how entertaining it was. The two women shared a hug after the match as Cargill said goodbye to All Elite Wrestling.

As reports state Cargill is closing in on signing with WWE, she has been officially removed from the AEW roster page.

Speaking with Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, Khan was asked to comment on Jade Cargill.

“Well, Jade had a great match on Friday night on AEW Rampage and it was a great match against Kris Statlander. Kris Statlander retained the TBS Championship on Rampage on Friday night and I thought that was a great match. Definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen either of them have and I thought really great main event for the show. As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade has been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW. [Jade] could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW,”

As of this writing, it has been reported that Jade is not making her way to WWE for financial reasons.

That being said, it has also been reported that Cargill will be on more money than usual for newcomers and will be given a focal push upon making her WWE debut.
