Why Tegan Nox Was Pulled From NXT Women’s Title Match On RAW
We now know what Tegan Nox was pulled from her NXT Women’s Title match with Becky Lynch.
Prior to Monday Night RAW last night, it was reported that Lynch would be defending her NXT Women’s Title vs Tegan Nox, but the plans were changed. Natalya would instead be Becky’s opponent, with Lynch walking out the victor, retaining her championship.
Fightful Select now reports that Lynch and Nox had already laid out their match at the time of the plans changing. They also noted that there was a hope that the open challenge’s would continue in the future.
Ringside News enquired about why Tegan was replaced in the match and were told Tegan’s lack of TV time played into the decision.
Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the team that, “the decision was made not to have a title match involving someone who has been off TV for a while.” This was especially the case, “if it’s the first time the NXT Women’s Title is being defended on RAW.”

Nox would go on to work Main Event tapings instead, defeating Xia Li in singles competition.
