Gail Kim Reveals Concussion During IMPACT1000 Knockouts Tag Team Match, “Don’t Bully Velvet. Shit Happens”

Gail Kim reveals that she’s suffered a concussion, but she’s been OK since then.

Gail Kim took a rough bump at the IMPACT1000 TV tapings for the HUGE Knockouts Tag Team Title Match, in which she teamed with Awesome Kong, Jordynne Grace, a returning Mickie James, and Knockouts World Champion, Trinity to take on Angelina Love (w/Velvet Sky), Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, Deonna Purrazzo, and a returning Tasha Steelz.

Earlier today, Gail took to her Instagram page to post an update that she did, in fact, suffer a concussion.

In the video clip, Gail talks about how she almost threw her back out 2 days prior to the IMPACT1000 tapings, and how she prepared for that, as well as how she felt the concussion symptoms after the spot and how she dealt with that as well.

The match was taped on September 9th, and aired yesterday, September 21st. The spot happened when Gail Kim was pulled off the ring apron by Velvet Sky and she fell straight to the mat on her head.

Myself and all of the Bodyslam staff are glad that she’s averted what could have been a major injury.
